    Hey Alex!

The Hopeful is just Am Bm and Em.
    Three chords the whole song!

So Long is a little more complicated. But only a little.
The verse is 11th fret on the G string (3rd string) and 11th fret on the high E String (1st).
The second string, B, is simple open.

Okay, so with that fingering, you simply strum that chord you've created, but alternating between the 11th fret on the G string and the 9th fret.

Then for the little changes you have to play the 9th fret on the low E string with your thumb,
and sort of mute the A and D strings. Sorry if this sounds complicated!

    The end chorus is B > C#m > E > C#m.

I hope this helps! Thanks so much for asking!

Watch Your Step is D# A# F Gm, but it's also easy to play if you just capo the third fret and play C G D Em.

    Molly,

Capo on third fret is exactly how I do it for Watch Your Step! Awesome!

    Dr. Dave is spot on with July 4. F > G > Em > F.

    Our Winter is:

    D > G (intro/verse)

    A > F#m > G (twice for pre-chorus)

    D > A > G (chorus)

Bm > A > G (one time for the "Let the sound of plows..." part)

    This is so fun!

    Love, Jason

What are the full lyrics to watch your step? There are a couple lines I can't decipher.

Jason, you should put up a lyrics section, but that might take forever with all your songs haha.

Hey where can I get "O, Jac!" guitar chords? It's pretty much my favorite song.

'O, Jac!' has a capo on the third fret.

The chords are simply F to C with a G thrown in every eighth or fourth time, depending.

(Note: without a capo, the chords are Ab to Eb with a Bb)

    Hope this helps! Thanks!

No problem, here are the chords for If I'm Waiting:

    VERSE

F to G (throughout the entire song hold down the high C and G notes on the second and first strings, 1st fret and 3rd, respectively, if that makes sense; it creates a nice, ringing drone effect)

    CHORUS

    F > G > C (x2)

    Am > Em > F > Fm

    end on C

I hope that helps, and isn't too confusing!

    xo, JASON

Oh man! Thanks for posting the chords to "I just can't wait for it to snow"... I have this really great memory of a show back at the red barn where we all sang that at least a dozen times, everyone getting more and more into it with every refrain. Definitely one of the best shows/nights of my life.

Can someone post the chords to "El Paso"?

pretty sure this is right, i'll check it when i get home from work.

We Will Bend, We Will Break

    Verse Chords:
Samantha loves a calling card, and my spiral bound is falling apart
    G                                                       D
All these letters and email addresses, some decent photographs...
    Am                                                            C

    Bridge:
    Segments, fragments, house shows, basements
    Am                            D
Everywhere I go… eh eh eh everywhere I go...
    Am                                   D

the chorus has the same chords as the verse. sing it in the backyard with your friends!

That Red Barn show with the debut of "I Just Can't Wait..." was so, so, so amazing. I remember we really went nuts to "I Need You in My Arms", too, just as you described, getting more and more pumped with every passing chorus! Wow. So many memories!!

    El Paso is simply:

    C G F (G)

    the chorus:

    F G
    C G F
    Dm F
    (then back into the verse)

the only other change is hitting:

    Am G F

    on "Everyone must die..."

oh, and "We Will Bend..." starts with:

    "Some envelopes, a calling card..."

although now that I read that, I *wish* it started with Samantha, because that's an awesome name! :)

    thanks max!

thank you so much, Connor. you totally nailed First Snow; the only thing i would add would be on the chorus. it goes C G D, like you have, but then tag an Em on at the end, for total melodic triumph!

    awesome!
